چکیده

Fractional identification of rotor skin effect in induction machines is presented in this paper. Park‘s transformation is used to obtain a system of differential equations which allows to include the skin effect in the rotor bars of asynchronous machines. A transfer function with a f ractional derivative order has been selected to represent the admittance of the bar by the help of a non integer integrator which is approximated by a J+1 dimensional modal system. The machine parameters are estimated by an output-error technique using a non l inear iterative optimization algorithm. Numerical simulations and experimental results show the performance of the modal approach for modeling and identification.

New Method for Rotor Temperature Estimation

Abstract: This paper presents a new method for observing the rotor temperature of high-power squirrel cage induction machines in measurable variables. The method is based on the fact that the rotor resistance depends on the actual rotor temperature. The main problem is to separate the changes in the rotor resistance due to temperature and skin effect. By comparing the input impedance with a kno...

Induction Motors Thermal Monitoring by Means of Rotor Resistance Identification

Rotor and stator temperature are of concern in both shortterm machine protection and in longer term condition monitoring for large induction machines. Especially, when operating with overload cycles, it is necessary to monitor rotor bars and stator winding temperatures to make sure that the temperature remains below prescribed limits. The purpose of this paper is to present a thermal monitoring...

Improvement Approach on Rotor Time Constant Adaptation with Optimum Flux in IFOC for Induction Machines Drives

Induction machine models used for steady-state and transient analysis require machine parameters that are usually considered design parameters or data. The knowledge of induction machine parameters is very important for Indirect Field Oriented Control (IFOC). A mismatched set of parameters will degrade the response of speed and torque control. This paper presents an improvement approach on roto...

A Novel MRAS Based Estimator for Speed-Sensorless Induction Motor Drive

In this paper, a novel stator current based Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) estimator for speed estimation in the speed-sensorless vector controlled induction motor drives is presented. In the proposed MRAS estimator, measured stator current of the induction motor is considered as a reference model. The estimated stator current is produced in an adjustable model to compare with the measu...
